Want to host a Common Time in 21-22? Share your ideas now!
The Provost’s Office is developing the schedule for Common Time programs to be offered in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
If you’re interested in making a presentation or leading a session that will be of interest to many College employees, now is the time to share your idea!
Common Time happens on Mondays from 3 to 4:30 p.m., typically in the Conference Center on Clifton Campus.
For many years, Common Time has been reserved as a weekly opportunity for all College employees to gather for events or presentations. Few classes or “competing” meetings are scheduled during this time period.
- The current plan for Common Time sessions during 2021-22 is to hold in-person events, but planning for a Zoom simulcast is encouraged (or for a pivot to Zoom-only, if necessary).
- Many topics are possible for Common Time programs, but proposed sessions should be of interest and value to a wide range of College employees.
- Past Common Time programs have included focus on varied aspects of student retention and success, College operations, community partnerships, and professional development, as well as sessions that put a spotlight on innovations or recognize employee achievements.
Feel free, however, to suggest topics that are different from the categories listed above.
If you want to deliver or facilitate a Common Time presentation for Fall or Spring, or have questions, please contact Tamaree Smith, Executive Assistant to the Provost, at tamaree.smith@cincinnatistate.edu or (513) 569-1230.
