Transfer Student Week continues with focus on UC and Wilmington

National Transfer Student Week at Cincinnati State continues today and Thursday– Oct. 20 and 21– at the Transfer Center in ATLC 221, and all are invited to enjoy food, enter drawings for prizes, and (for students considering transfer) meet with some of CState’s 4-year institution partners.

Today, Oct. 20, the focus is on the University of Cincinnati.

Stop by to meet Renee Rivers (photo at right) from UC’s Transfer and Advising Center, who will be located inside the Transfer Center on a regular basis moving forward.

Renee will be at the CState Transfer Center on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every week, and available for virtual appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Thursday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is Wilmington College Day at the Transfer Center. Activities include:

  • Food – Free breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon, and free lunch from noon to 2 p.m.
     
  • Give-aways and raffles throughout the day.
     
  • Opportunities to meet Wilmington College’s President, Trevor Bates, as well as staff members representing Wilmington Admissions, Athletics, International Student Services, and more.

Students can stop by the Transfer Center on Wednesday and Thursday to pick up a button, enjoy treats, enter daily prize drawings, and learn more about many transfer options available for CState grads.

The grand prize drawing on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. includes gifts worth $50 or more from Miami, Mt. St. Joe, Northern Kentucky, UC, the University of Dayton, Wilmington College, and Wright State.

Faculty and staff members can support National Transfer Student Week, too.

  • Pick up a button and/or wear spiritwear from your alma mater.
     
  • Take a photo of yourself in your spiritwear and/or with your button, and send it to Amy Wagner (amy.wagner@cincinnatistate.edu) for College social media.
     
  • On Thursday at 4 p.m., faculty and staff who shared their photos will have a chance to win a drawing for a $25 gift card (2 gift cards will be awarded)
