Student Vax Incentive announces Week 3 winners; on-campus clinic on Nov. 4

Harley Westfeld is the third winner of a $1,000 prize in the Student Vaccination Incentive Program. She received her check on Oct. 21.

Harley, who is majoring in Multimedia & Web Design, said, “I got vaccinated to help those around me.”

Culinary Arts major Phillip Mason (left), winner of a $100 prize in the Week 3 drawing, said his reason for getting vaccinated was “to protect myself and my children from becoming sick or passing COVID-19 to others.”

As of Oct. 22, over 800 Fall Semester students have entered the Incentive Program, and a total of 29 students have reported receiving their initial dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Another on-campus vaccination clinic facilitated by Walgreen’s, and free for Cincinnati State students and employees, is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 4, on Clifton Campus.

• The clinic will be in Main 180 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
   
• The on-campus clinic will offer flu shots and COVID-19 vaccinations (Pfizer vaccine) including first dose, second dose, and booster shots for those eligible.
   
• Participants should bring your insurance card (if applicable) and if you’re seeking a COVID-19 vaccination second dose or booster shot, bring your vaccination card.
