Clifton Campus Clean-Up Day is Apr. 25
Tuesday, April 25, is Clean-Up Day on Clifton Campus, when employees can remove unwanted paper and E-waste from your work spaces.
- Materials that are collected will be recycled as applicable.
- Clean-Up Day is for College waste only– please don’t bring items from home.
Clean-up activities take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 25, and include:
Paper disposal/document shredding
- The Document Destruction (shredding) truck will be parked at the Main Building Dock. Brick repairs near the Dock have been completed so the pedestrian doors will be accessible.
- All paper to be shredded must be placed in a Document Destruction Bin.
- Bins can be checked out on Tuesday starting at 8 a.m., on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Look for Christine Barrow near the Dock to check out a bin.
- Only 10 bins are available, so please hold off on getting a bin until you are ready to fill it, take it to the shredding truck, make additional trips if needed to transport paper from your office area, and then return the bin to the Dock promptly so others can use it.
- You won’t be able to check out a bin for the entire day, so please plan your waste transportation schedule!
- Unsure which paper documents need to be retained? Refer to Section 11 of the College Operations Manual (available from the College intranet, in the section “Manuals and Documents”).
E-waste disposal
- Bins for E-waste recycling will be in the Main Building first floor hallway near the Dock, beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
- E-waste includes items such as computers, monitors, other electronic devices, keyboards, light bulbs, batteries, etc.
- Staff from Cobalt Electronics Recycling will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to help you sort your waste into the correct containers.
- You are responsible for bringing your E-waste to the bins and sorting it into the containers.
- If you know you will have a large amount of E-waste and need assistance moving it, please contact Facilities (513-569-1559) today.
If you have questions about Clean-Up Day, please contact Facilities at the phone number above, or reach out to Christine Barrow (christine.barrow@cincinnatistate.edu).
