Fall registration starts Apr. 24; new Self-Service online tools replace MyServices
Self-Service– the set of updated software tools that replace MyServices online tools– is now live for students and for advising functions.
- Self-Service provides essentially the same functionality as MyServices, but the look and some operations are slightly different.
- In addition, students now have access to new tools not previously offered, such as the “Student Planning” tool that allows students to map out a plan for their progress toward degree completion.
- Registration for Summer classes using Self-Service is underway, and registration for Fall 2023 classes will begin on Monday, April 24.
Students have received email and text messages about the change from MyServices to Self-Service, along with links to instructions and videos on the “Welcome to Self-Service” page of the College website.
Employees seeking additional information can view “Self-Service Q&A for Employees” after logging in to your Blackboard Courses page.
- Look for the “My Organizations” list on the left side of the page (to the left of your list of Blackboard courses) and then look for the “Self-Service Q&A” link.
- In the menu on the left side of the “Self-Service Q&A” page, click “Content” to see videos, training materials, and information about Self-Service tools for students and for advisors.
Other Faculty Self-Service functions (including grading and access to class rosters) will go live in May, after Summer Semester begins. Training sessions will be provided also.
Currently, links to both Self-Service and MyServices appear after logging in to MyCState. After all functions have been moved to Self-Service, the MyServices links will be removed.
If you have questions about the Self-Service functions, please contact the Registrar’s Office at ro@cincinnatistate.edu.
