Provost’s welcome message to students includes revised Student Responsibility Statement
Provost Robbin Hoopes sent an email message to all Fall Semester students on Aug. 26 that includes the most recent version of Cincinnati State’s Student Responsibility Statement. (Click to download)
- The Student Responsibility Statement was reviewed and revised during the past few weeks by the members of the College’s Academic Response Team (ART).
- The revised Responsibiity Statement also is posted on the College’s COVID-19 web page.
The Provost’s message to students said:
Greetings,
Welcome to the fall semester! This is a great time to be moving forward with your college degree.
Your academic success and your safety are our top priority. All college campus services and offices are open to support you and your academic success – like the Writing Center, the Tutoring Center, the Library, and computer labs – and of course the Overlook Cafeteria and Bakery Hill!
To ensure everyone’s safety, safety masks are required for all staff and students. This is a requirement at all Ohio colleges and universities since numbers of Covid-19 infections are increasing in our region and vaccinated people can spread the virus even if the vaccine prevents them from becoming seriously ill.
Other measures required to ensure everyone’s safety are described in the attached Student Responsibility Statement. Please take a moment to review it carefully.
During the semester, if you have any questions or concerns about anything at all, do not hesitate to reach out to your academic advisor, program chair, or your professors for guidance. Your advisors and your professors can always point you in the right direction with any question you might have.
Have a great semester!
Best,
Robbin Hoopes, C.I., M.A., J.D.
