Surgical Technology students won “Scrub Bowl” competition in Kentucky
Cincinnati State’s Surgical Technology (ST) students were the winners of a “Scrub Bowl” competition held during a meeting of the Kentucky State Assembly of the Association of Surgical Technology on March 23 in Louisville.
In the Scrub Bowl event, students must answer a series of questions similar to those asked on the national certification exam for Surgical Technologists.
ST Program Chair LaVon Moore and faculty member Deb Schumate accompanied nine ST students who attended a Exam Review Session prior to the Scrub Bowl event. Students said the review session was “very helpful” as they near graduation and get ready to take the certification exam.
