Lt. Todd Halusek is Acting Police Chief following Chief Dan Reid’s retirement

Former College Police Chief Dan Reid has retired, and Lieutenant Todd Halusek (right) is now the Acting Police Chief and Interim Director of Public Safety for Cincinnati State.

CFO Chris Calvert said a search is beginning for a permanent Police Chief and Director of Public Safety.

  • Lt. Halusek has been a member of the Campus Police force for 13 years.
     
  • Prior to joining the College’s Police Department, Lt. Halusek served as a police officer for the City of Forest Park, and as a Hamilton County deputy sheriff.
     
  • He is a graduate of the FBI-LEEDA leadership program, and earned the Trilogy award for completing training in Supervisor Leadership, Command Leadership, and Executive Leadership.

Lt. Halusek earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Gateway Community College, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management and leadership.

He has completed college courses in Law Enforcement at several area universities, including Northern Kentucky U., the University of Cincinnati, and Ohio State.
