Library Book Club March selection is “Peter Pan”
Cincinnati State faculty and staff members are invited to join the March meeting of the virtual Library Book Club, to discuss the whimsical and adventurous fantasy classic Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie.
The Book Club meeting takes place Thursday, Mar. 25, at 1 p.m., on Zoom (click here to connect).
- Peter Pan— also known as The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up or Peter and Wendy– started as a 1904 play by J.M. Barrie and then became a 1911 novel.
- Both versions tell the story of Peter Pan, a mischievous little boy who can fly, and his adventures on the island of Neverland with Wendy Darling and her brothers, the fairy Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, and the pirate Captain Hook.
- The story has been retold and reinterpreted numerous times, in a variety of media and formats, throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
