Faculty: Use new eForm to seek stimulus funding for academics
Cincinnati State’s senior administrators have allocated $700,000 of the College’s Stimulus Funding from the federal government to support academic expenses that meet the following purposes:
- increase safety for in-person instruction (not including PPE or cleaning supplies)
- add equipment to support socially distanced in-person instruction
- add equipment or software (or other online resources) to support remote delivery of instruction, advising, support services, or professional development
Faculty and academic staff members who are seeking approval to use stimulus funds should complete the new eForm titled “COVID Stimulus Expense Authorization” (click to view the form).
- For examples of purchases that qualify for use of stimulus funds, check with the Division Dean or applicable Academic Administrator.
When the eForm is submitted, the purchase cost and a vendor quote or other itemized cost information must be attached.
- Completed eForms are routed to the Dean or Academic Administrator. If approved by the Dean, the request will go to Provost Robbin Hoopes for final approval.
- If the request is approved, a separate Purchase Requisition eForm will need to be completed.
- All expenditures using stimulus funds must be made prior to Jan. 1, 2022.
- If an equipment purchase exceeds $5,000 from the same vendor, the College must issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), which means the timeline for completing the purchase will be extended.
Please check with your Dean or Academic Administrator if you think this limit might apply to purchases being made by your department or division.
Faculty or academic staff members who need personal protective equipment (PPE) or cleaning supplies should check with a division administrator.
