Disability Services offers in-person testing in Summer; Instructors use new form to request test proctoring

The Office of Disability Services (ODS) will continue providing services remotely during Summer Semester, and in-person testing will be available by appointment.

Student appointment process:

ODS registered students who require reader assistance, dictation software support, and/or time extensions may use phone or email to request a testing appointment during office hours, which are:

• Monday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In-person appointments must be requested a minimum of 5 days in advance.

• Message to ODS from students and instructors are answered within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays)

The ODS location in ATLC 413 will continue to be used for in-person appointments scheduled for May or June.

Faculty process for submitting materials for Test Proctoring:

Faculty members can now submit their testing instructions and materials through a new ODS Test Proctoring eForm that replaces the previous Examdrop process.

• Using the new eForm, the instructor can provide essential test information and attach all materials needed for test proctoring.
   
• The eForm allows for adherence to pandemic protocols, and improves the efficiency of the exam proctoring process.
   
• To maintain process security, the designated exam proctor will delete the email messages associated with the submitted eForm after test materials have been prepared for the student.

To access the eForm, go to My CState > Tools > E-forms

• Then select “Search by keyword,” type “ODS Test Proctoring,” and click “Search”

Delivery options for the return of completed test materials to instructors now include:

• Hold test for instructor pick-up
• Scan and email test to instructor
• Student returns test to instructor in a sealed envelope
• Test is submitted online when finished
