College Update on Feb. 22 discussed planning for Fall 21 & other topics

If you missed the College Update during Common Time on Feb. 22, the recording of the session is available on the College intranet.

The Update included reports on:

  • Academic planning for Summer and Fall 2021.
     
  • Campus Safety and Facilities, including plans for reoccupying the Main Building prior to the start of Summer Semester in May.
     
  • Marketing and Enrollment new initiatives, including bringing in the Cleveland-based film Locale to assist with marketing strategies and activities intended to increase Fall enrollment.
     
  • A summary of how Federal Stimulus Funds (includes CARES Act funds) have been used so far, and preliminary planning for how to allocate $7.2 million in additional Federal Stimulus Funds recently awarded to the College.
     
  • Strategic Plan 2025 initiatives, including:
    • A report on fundraising associated with the College’s 50th anniversary and continuing currently.
       
    • A report on plans to restart the successful CState Accelerate program, with new fundraising replacing the grant that funded the original program. The goal is to support 400 students through CState Accelerate during academic year 2021-22, by providing activities and resources to assist students in completing their associate’s degree in no more than 3 years.
       
    • A report on plans to establish a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council at Cincinnati State with participation by students, faculty and staff members, administrators, alumni, and employers.
