CYC Board learned about CState opportunities for high school students
The Board of the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative (CYC) held their September 20 meeting at Cincinnati State, where CYC Board members heard presentations from President Monica Posey, Provost Robbin Hoopes, the academic deans, and other College administrators.
Through a network of 1,500 volunteers and over 100 corporate partners, CYC assists students from second grade through college by offering mentoring, college readiness assistance, and career preparation.
CYC has partnerships with the Cincinnati Public School District, as well as Finneytown, Winton Woods, North College Hill, and Norwood City Schools.
Provost Hoopes said the meeting represented “the start of re-engagement between Cincinnati State and CYC.”
In 2017 Cincinnati State created the “Be Great” Grant for students from any CYC high school who enter a CState degree program within a year of high school graduation. More information is available on the Grants page of the Cincinnati State website.
