Condolences to Kristi Stark Drout

Annie Stark, mother of faculty member Kristi Drout (Mathematics), died October 2, 2024, surrounded by family. 

Annie wore many hats at Cincinnati State, and was one of the College’s most enthusiastic ambassadors. She worked in the Bookstore, the Registrar’s office, and the Engineering Technologies division office, as well as in other roles. Annie also was a constant presence at College events that gave her opportunities to spend more time near her “boyfriend,” as she referred to her husband of 58 years, the late Tom Stark, past faculty member and dean at Cincinnati State.

• A holiday themed party to celebrate Annie will take place at Lakeridge Hall, 7210 Pippin Road, on Sunday, October 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. Feel free to dress in your favorite holiday attire, especially Halloween or Christmas! 
• A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5361 Dry Ridge Rd., on Monday, October 7, at 11 a.m. Mass will be available at St. John the Baptist Livestream. Interment will follow at Old St. Joseph Cemetery, 3819 W. 8th St.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tom and Annie Stark Memorial Scholarship Fund at Cincinnati State (go to the Donate Now page, and select from the drop down list of scholarships, or mail a check to the College with name of the fund in the memo) or to Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly.
