Free Community ASL class starts Oct. 7

Oct 3, 2024

Cincinnati State’s Interpreter Training Program is offering a free 6-week class in using American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate, starting Monday, October 7.

The free class, offered virtually via Zoom, is open to anyone who wants to learn to communicate with individuals who use sign language. The class will focus on learning phrases for communication, not on learning vocabulary lists.

  • Class sessions will take place on Mondays from 5:30-6:30 p.m., starting Oct. 7 and ending Nov. 18. Class will not meet on Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).
  • The class is open to individuals of any age, and registration is not required– other than joining the mailing list so you can receive Zoom links, handouts, and other resources.
