I-75 / I-74 Construction Update – July 11
Overnight restrictions will be in place this week near Clifton Campus as part of the Interstate 75/I-74 Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 5B project.
- All scheduled work is contingent upon weather.
- To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.

Thursday, July 11:
- Closure of the right lane on I-74 East, between the northbound Beekman Street overpass bridge and the Elmore Street overpass, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, July 12.
- Full closure of the ramp from southbound Beekman Street to I-74 East, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday. During closure, traffic will be detoured via Beekman Street, Elmore Street, Colerain Avenue, Beekman Street, I-74 West, and the Montana Avenue Texas Turnaround.
During the 2024 construction season, the next phase of the Mill Creek Expressway project will see the reconstruction of the I-74 bridges over Spring Grove Avenue and Elmore Street, as well as the replacement of median barrier, pavement, highway lighting, signage, traffic monitoring system, noise walls, bridge painting, and drainage.
The project is on schedule to be completed in the summer of 2025.
