Testing Center now offers CLEP exams
Current and prospective students can now take CLEP exams (College-Level Examination Program) at the Testing Center on Clifton Campus.
- Currently CLEP testing is offered on the third Wednesday of each month. Alternate testing hours may be arranged on request.
- The Testing Center anticipates that more CLEP exam dates will be added in the future.
- The cost for each CLEP exam is $89 (College Board fee) plus a $34 registration/proctoring fee. Payment must be made when the student registers for a CLEP exam.
The College Board offers 34 CLEP exams that cover introductory level college course material in Business, Composition and Literature, History and Social Sciences, Science & Mathematics, and World Languages. Exams range from 90 to 120 minutes.
A passing score on a CLEP exam leads to college credit at Cincinnati State and nearly 2,900 colleges and universities across the U.S., which saves time and money, and gives students an opportunity to earn their degree faster.
Individuals interested in CLEP testing should follow these steps:
- Discuss test options with an Academic Advisor and review the list of exam topics.
- Establish a My CLEP Account and purchase the CLEP exam(s) you wish to take.
- Register to take the CLEP exam at Cincinnati State’s Testing Center.
- On the test day, bring your CLEP test voucher(s) and a valid photo ID to the Cincinnati State Testing Center.
