Late registration for Spring classes requires instructor signature
(Updated Jan. 17, 2 p.m.)
For Spring Semester 2024, students who want to register for a full-semester (15-week) class after the semester has started must obtain written permission from the instructor of the class they wish to add.
- The last day to add 15-week classes for Spring via instructor signature is Monday, Jan. 22.
- Students attempting to add a 15-week class after Jan. 22 must obtain signatures from the instructor and an academic administrator.
- A separate form should be used for each class to be added.
Students should fill out the Registration Activity Request form (click to download) and then take these steps:
In-person: Obtain the needed signature on the form and then take the completed form to the Registrar’s Office (ATLC 105).
Electronic:
- Fill out and sign the form, and then send the form to the instructor, from the student’s Cincinnati State email account. (Other email addresses are not accepted.)
- If the instructor agrees to the late add, the instructor should sign the form and then either email the form to the Registrar’s Office (ro@cincinnatistate.edu) or send it back to the student, who can then email or hand-deliver the form to the Registrar’s Office.
Registration for Spring 10-week classes prior to the start of these classes (on Feb. 20) does not require a signature.
The late registration signature requirement is a policy published in the College Catalog. The policy was waived for several years because of the pandemic.
Additional information about registration processes is available in the Registrar’s section of the College website.
