Cincinnati State’s efforts to increase career resources and opportunities for students with disabilities were featured in the Fall eNewletter published by The Talent Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati.
The article by Career Center Manager Kelly Harper described how the CState Career Center provides resources and services through a partnership with the Ohio College2Careers program offered by the state agency Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.
Provost Robbin Hoopes serves on the Steering Committee for The Talent Collaborative, which was formed in 2022 as part of the National Fund for Workforce Solutions, a network of 34 communities across the U.S. seeking to improve workforce outcomes, with an emphasis on equity and inclusion.
The goals of The Talent Collaborative are “to strengthen and expand opportunities for people in the Greater Cincinnati region to advance in careers that enable individual and family success, engage with area education/training providers and organized labor, and foster the success of employers with high-quality employment practices to make a positive impact on the economic growth of the entire region.”
The Collaborative’s founding members include Brighton Center, The Health Collaborative, the Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board, The Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board, and The Workforce Innovation Center at the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber.
