Join the CState crew for Miami River “Clean Sweep” event on Sep. 16

Sep 13, 2023

Cincinnati State students and employees, as well as your friends and family members (age 14 and up), are invited to join a team of College volunteers at the Clean Sweep of the Great Miami River on Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to noon.

  • The group will gather on Saturday at the Shawnee Lookout Canoe/Kayak Launch, across from the park entrance (2008 Lawrenceburg Rd, North Bend, Ohio 45052).
  • Wear your Cincinnati State gear so others can see our efforts on behalf of the community!

The Clean Sweep is an annual event focused on removing trash and restoring the health of the Great Miami River. The cleanup is about more than picking up trash– it’s a day to learn about the river, and demonstrate your desire for clean water and healthy rivers.

For this event in support of the Great Parks of Hamilton County, the CState volunteers will be joining up with hundreds of others to accomplish important revitalization of the Great Miami River, which meanders through seven southwest Ohio counties and a small portion of southeast Indiana, as it makes its 170 mile journey to the Ohio River.
