You can help boost Fall enrollment by reaching out to students

Jul 28, 2021

On July 21, students who are not yet registered for Fall semester received an email reminder from the Registrar’s Office to encourage enrolling in Fall classes.

  • The email message was sent to all currently admitted students (degree or certificate-seeking) who have not yet graduated. The full message to students is below.

  • The Registrar’s Office said enrollment of new students is ahead of last year’s numbers, but enrollment of returning students is lagging behind last year.

Provost Robbin Hoopes asked program chairs and other faculty who are in contact with returning students to consider reaching out to encourage these students to enroll.

“The relationship with their program chairs and faculty members is more important to students than any other,” Provost Hoopes said.

“Students are more likely to respond when they hear from chairs and other faculty members who worked with them in the past.”

Faculty members can ask their division dean to provide more information about how to identify the students who are not yet registered for Fall.
