Vote today for CState grad to become “America’s Greatest Baker”

Haley Stewart, a 2015 Cincinnati State graduate now working as the Pastry Chef at the Moerlein Lager House and Roebling Event Center, is a quarter-finalist for the title “America’s Greatest Baker 2024,” in an online contest hosted by Chef Buddy Valsatro, TV’s “Cake Boss.”

Contest winners are selected through online voting by the public.

  • The contest winner earns a $20,000 cash prize, a feature in Bake From Scratch magazine, and a trip to New York City for a baking lesson with Valastro.
  • The online “Greatest Baker” contest is also a fundraiser for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, an organization that provides financial assistance to families of children with cancer.

To vote for Haley, visit https://greatestbaker.com/2024/haley-stewart. Voting in the quarter-finals closes Thursday, December 19, at 10 p.m. (Eastern Time).

  • You can cast a vote for free once every 24 hours (logging into Facebook required).
  • Or, you can cast additional votes if you make a tax-deductible donation to the fundraiser. More information is available by clicking the “vote” button on Haley’s page.

Haley says on her contest page that her favorite thing to bake is “doughnuts or cupcakes” and that she tries to “always be in the know of what’s new and fun in the culinary world.”

Earlier this year, Haley won “Best Donut” in Cincinnati Magazine‘s 2024 Bake-Off. She also was featured in a Cincinnati Enquirer article about the “Greatest Baker” contest.
