Dr. Sandra Dees received “champion of kindness” award

Dr. Sandra Dees, Student Support Specialist in the TRiO/Student Support Services Office, recently received a “Champion of Kindness” award sponsored by the Ohio State University’s Hamilton County Extension Office for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, and the University of Cincinnati’s Kindness Initiative.  

Dr. Dees was recognized at a September event by Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval and Chef Pamela Tramble-Johnson, Program Assistant for the OSU Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program. 

More than 25 individuals, agencies, and programs in Hamilton County were acknowledged for providing humanitarian relief to groups and families in need. 

Dr. Dees’ contributions include support for the Surge Cupboard Food Pantry at Cincinnati State and founding the 10 Star Trendsetters after-school program for Winton Woods High School students.
