Provost Hoopes discussed community-college-to-bachelor’s-degree pathways on “Cincinnati Edition”
Provost Robbin Hoopes was part of a panel discussion of community college as a pathway to four-year degrees during an episode of the WVXU public radio program “Cincinnati Edition” on September 3, 2024.
Recent data from the U.S. Department of Education shows that nationally, only 13% of community college students earn a bachelor’s degree from a traditional, four-year institution within eight years.
Provost Hoopes and the other panel members discussed the national data and local factors that influence students to begin their education at a community college and then successfully complete additional education at a four-year institution.
