CState employees and students can attend SOCHE Career Services Conference in Oct.
Cincinnati State faculty and staff members, as well as interested students, are invited to attend the Career Services Conference sponsored by SOCHE (Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education). The conference theme is “Tomorrow’s Path: Career Services for the Future.”
The in-person event takes place Friday, October 11, 2024, from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clark State College in Springfield, OH.
Advance registration is required:
- The registration fee for faculty, staff, and administrators is $45 through Sep. 18 (price increases to $55 on Sep. 19)
- The student registration fee is $25 through Sep. 18 (price increases to $35 on Sep. 19)
Attendees can choose from three repeating concurrent sessions that cover topics including helping jobseekers identify and promote their transferable skills, virtual networking skills, and understanding all the generations in today’s workplace (facilitated by Angelica Kennedy from Cincinnati State).
Keynote speaker Monique Frost from The Career Leadership Collective will focus on developing career services that align with a contemporary work environment. Then, a panel of experts who have been successful in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in career services will share their use of this technology to benefit students.
