Transfer Center June calendar includes “lunch & learn” events for faculty & staff

The Cincinnati State Transfer Center has released the June calendar for visits with representatives of four-year colleges and universities.

  • The calendar includes times for in-person visits and links for virtual visits with representatives of partner schools.

During Summer semester, the Transfer Center is pausing student-focused events to offer a series of “Lunch & Learn” sessions for faculty and staff members.

If you’re interested in attending Lunch & Learn events and did not already receive an Outlook calendar invitation, please send an email message to Transfer Center Director Dr. Myshamil Walker (myshamil.walker@cincinnatistate.edu) and let her know which sessions you plan to attend.

Topics include:

  • University of Cincinnati Doctor of Pharmacy Program – Wednesday, June 12 – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – ATLC 313
    Cincinnati State students who are interested in Pharmacy now have the option to go directly into UC’s Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program with an associate’s degree. Representatives of the UC College of Pharmacy will discuss eligibility requirements, program tuition and fees, special programs, access to patient care options, and clinical rotation sites in Cincinnati.
  • UC Advisor Check-In – Wednesday, June 26 – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Conference Center Room 342
    Academic advisors, admissions counselors, and others who assist CState students who are thinking of completing their education at UC are encouraged to attend and strengthen communication with an important academic partner.
  • Miami Regionals Work+ Program – Tuesday, July 16 – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – ATLC 313
    Learn about the Miami University Regional Campuses Work+ program, which provides an opportunity to earn a Miami University degree debt-free by pairing students with employers who pay the student’s tuition in exchange for part-time work. 
  • Mount St. Joseph University Pathways & Programs – Monday, July 22 – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Location to be announced
    Learn about the CS2MSJ Pathways, including Business, Education, Social Work, and Arts & Sciences, the MSJ Transfer Equivalency System, scholarship options, and other updates.
  • CS2NKU Pathway Program – Wednesday, August 7, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (date & location to be confirmed)
    Academic advisors, admissions counselors, and others who assist CState students who are thinking of completing their education at NKU are encouraged to attend for review of the CS2NKU program and to strengthen communication with an important academic partner.

Transfer Center service hours (in ATLC 221) for Summer Semester are:

  • Monday-Thursday – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
