President Monica Posey and Provost Robbin Hoopes have announced that the Higher Learning Commission site visit to Cincinnati State was a success, and all employees are invited to celebrate the achievement with a free lunch.

Employees can pick up a gift certificate good for a free lunch or treats ($8 value) at the Overlook Cafe or Bakery Hill.

Gift certificates (one per employee) are available in the ATLC Welcome Center from May 28-31, or see Tammie Smith or Angelica Kennedy in the Executive Suite (ATLC 343).
The gift certificate can be used through June 14.

According to Dr. Posey, the HLC Review Team’s report said Cincinnati State met the standards for all core components related to institutional accreditation, and no interim monitoring of College operations is required. The next comprehensive accreditation visit should take place in ten years, the maximum time allowed.

To complete the process, the report on Cincinnati State’s accreditation status needs to be approved by the Higher Learning Commission Board. Voting is expected to occur in July or August.
