Testing Center offers a variety of resources for prospective & current students
The Cincinnati State Testing Center, located in Room 176 in the Clifton Campus Main Building, provides a secure and quiet testing environment and offers testing for placement, certification, and accommodated exams.
Testing is by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. Testing can be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.
To contact the Testing Center, send an email message to testingcenter@cincinnatistate.edu or call (513) 569-1569.
- Starting this Summer, the Testing Center is a location where prospective students entering several Health and Public Safety programs can complete TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills), a computerized assessment of basic academic knowledge in reading, math, science, and English and language usage.
- TEAS is required for students entering associate degree programs in Nursing (NUR), the LPN-to-RN completion program (NURP), Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMSC and DMSG) and Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology (OTA).
- Students must register in advance and pay a fee to take TEAS. For more information, see the Health & Public Safety Selective Admission page of the College website.
- Other services offered through the Testing Center include credentialing services through PearsonVue (including GED), the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), and Accuplacer, as well as many other testing products.
- Before a student can take Accuplacer, an Academic Advisor must complete the Testing Permission eForm. Then, the advisor can direct the student to the Testing Center web page to self-register for the test.
- Students with disabilities who are seeking accommodated testing should discuss the arrangements with the Cincinnati State Office of Disability Services a month prior to registering for testing.
