Commencement 2024 is May 5
Cincinnati State’s annual Commencement ceremony is Sunday, May 5, at Xavier University’s Cintas Center. The ceremony begins at 3 p.m.
If you can’t attend in person, the ceremony will be available for live remote viewing at https://www.cintascenter.com/livestream.
Tickets are required for guests, but not for graduating students or College employees.
- This year, the graduating class includes 900 Cincinnati State students who collectively earned more than 1,000 credentials, including bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, or certificates.
- This year’s class includes six first-ever Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates, 10 Bachelor of Applied Science grads, and 10 high school students who earned associate degrees through the Ohio College Credit Plus program.
- U.S. Representative Greg Landsman (Ohio Congressional District 1) will deliver the Commencement Address.
- The Student Address will be delivered by Caitlin Lowe, who is earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Health Information Management Technology.
- A Distinguished Alumnus Award will be presented to Christie Tuttle (Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology, ’90).
- The platform delegation will include State Senator Catherine Ingram (Ohio 9th District), and Senior Vice Chancellor Gary Cates of the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
- Faculty members who will be recognized during the ceremony include 2024 House/Bruckmann Faculty Excellence Award recipients Kelly Hubbard and Jeff Wright, ’81, and 2024 Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award recipient Chanyung (James) Park.
