Benefits Open Enrollment period is May 1 – May 17

Employee Open Enrollment for health insurance and other College-provided benefits will take place from Wednesday, May 1, through Friday, May 17, 2024.

Look for email messages coming from the Human Resources Department, starting this Thursday, April 18, that will include:

• a summary of benefits and coverage
• health insurance plan rates
• information about the College’s prescription drug plan
• a link to the CState Benefits Portal that you’ll use to select benefits for yourself and/or your dependents

During Open Enrollment, benefits-eligible employees and/or eligible dependents have the opportunity to enroll for medical, dental, and vision coverage or make changes to existing coverage. 

Choices/changes made during May Open Enrollment will go into effect July 1, 2024.

Also effective July 1, 2024, the College’s insurance is changing from UMR Medical Health to Anthem – Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The College’s prescription drug plan is not changing.

• The change to Anthem was approved by the Cincinnati State Board of Trustees at their March 2024 meeting. Anthem is expected to provide better services for employees, and be more cost-effective for the College.
