Tammie Larkins is this week’s “Woman of Empowerment”
The Women’s Empowerment Network (WEN) has selected Tammie Larkins, the Director of the CState Accelerate program, as the Cincinnati State Woman of Empowerment for the third week of March.
Tammie’s nomination described her as someone who “helps and empowers many students,” and has a transformative impact on countless students’ lives.
CState Accelerate provides comprehensive academic, personal, and financial support to help new and continuing students stay in college, earn credits faster, and graduate on time. The program’s successes have gained national media attention.
Tammie says her favorite aspect of working at the College is “serving our students and staff,” and she is committed to fostering an empowered College community.
Outside of work, Tammie says she values bonding with loved ones, traveling, reading, and journaling.
Tammie’s vision for the future includes “creating and cultivating safe spaces where women can feel unconditionally loved, supported, valued, and free to be their authentic selves.”
Another Woman of Empowerment will be selected this week, which is the final week of Women’s History Month. You can use this online form to nominate a Cincinnati State student or employee who embodies hard work, dedication, and empowerment of others.
