GC3 offers workshop series on practical applications of AI to teaching
The Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Connection (GC3) is offering a virtual workshop series on “AI: Practical Application to Your Teaching,” starting April 2, and continuing on April 3, 9, 10, and 16. All of the workshops take place from noon to 1 p.m.
Each workshop will focus on a different facet of artificial intelligence (AI) and how to use it effectively in activities with students. Presenters are experts in AI from colleges and universities throughout the U.S.
- The deadline to register for the first two sessions (April 2 and 3) is Friday, March 29.

- Tuesday, April 2: Large Language Models Assisting Large Learning Methods: Gen AI as Your Own Personal TA
This presentation will demonstrate how tools like ChatGPT can help with designing classroom activities that generate critical thinking prompts and support various learning assignments. - Wednesday, April 3: Cultivating Moments of Practice and Inquiry: Humanities-Specific Uses of AI in the Classroom
This session will examine how instructors can use ChatGPT and similar tools to help students study concepts in the humanities conversationally, in ways that push them beyond memorization and support deeper learning. - Tuesday, April 9: Exploring the Role of Generative AI in Active Learning
