AAUP faculty provided “stress relief kits” for students
Members of Cincinnati State AAUP, the union that represents all full-time faculty members at the College, prepared and distributed nearly 300 “stress relief kits” to give students a boost during the remaining weeks of Spring Semester.
Faculty members assembled the kits at an AAUP Chapter meeting on February 26, and the gifts were distributed on March 19 and 20.
Each stress relief kit was a small bag stuffed with items such as a granola bar, candy, small notebooks and colorful pencils, and a stress relief toy. Each kit also contained a motivational message that was hand-written by a faculty member.
AAUP Chapter President Abbey Yee said, “We appreciate the many faculty members who took time to support the project by donating items for the kits and helping us put together and hand out the kits.”
“A lot of students said they were grateful to receive the messages of support as well as the ‘fun’ items from the faculty,” Abbey added.
