Students can explore social work opportunities at Transfer Center event on Mar. 21

Students who are interested in careers in social work and other social services fields are invited to the Transfer Center’s celebration of Social Work Month on Thursday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Lobby outside the Transfer Center (ATLC 221).

Students will be able to talk to representatives of bachelor’s degree programs with a Social Work focus, learn more about educational and career options, and enjoy refreshments.

The Council on Social Work Education sponsors Social Work Month in March each year to inform students, employers, and others about how social workers “support and empower millions of people every day, helping them to overcome life’s hurdles and live to their full potential.”
