Office of Online Learning provides support schedule for Mar. 11-22

During the next two weeks, the Office of Online Learning will offer support for users of Blackboard and Zoom, and a “Spark” professional development session on Quality Course Design.

On Friday, March 22, a virtual “Spark” professional development session on Quality Course Design takes place from noon to 2 p.m.

  • This session is an interactive exploration of Quality Matters (QM) standards, intended to help you create an action plan for elevating your online course design.
  • Using Quality Matters standards to review your course design leads to smoother course navigation and improvements in other course elements that contribute to student success.

Blackboard/Online Learning Office Hours (in-person and via Zoom) are facilitated by Dr. Jon McKamey, Instructional Designer

  • Monday, Mar. 11 – 9-10 a.m. – ATLC 437 & Zoom
  • Tuesday, Mar. 12 – noon-1 p.m. – ATLC 437 & Zoom

Drop in remotely or in person as needed to get help with specific Blackboard tools, troubleshooting, or any learning-related topic. Come prepared with your specific needs and you’ll get help seeking solutions.

Remote Assistance from the Instructional Designer

Dr. Jon McKamey is out of the office from Mar. 13-22, but will be monitoring email to assist with urgent needs.

Zoom Support for Faculty and Staff (via Zoom) is facilitated by Paul D. DeNu, Technical Communication Specialist

Paul is available by appointment to provide individual training, to help with concerns related to Zoom, and to answer technology-related questions.
