Celebrate International Women’s Day with a new brew & support Brewing Science students

Local brewery Urban Artifact is once again recognizing International Women’s Day by creating a new beer, with a portion of the beer sales providing funds to support women in Cincinnati State’s Brewing Science program.

The new beer, called A Girl and Her Dog, will be released during a Women’s Day celebration at Urban Artifact (1660 Blue Rock St. in Northside) on Saturday, March 9, from 1 to 5 p.m.

As stated on every can, “a percentage of proceeds from A Girl and Her Dog will fund the Women in Brewing scholarship at Cincinnati State to support the next generation of women brewers.”

The festivities on Saturday include food, vendors from women-owned businesses, and live music. The Cincinnati State Brewing Science program will have a table at the market– so come say “hi,” and have a good time, while also promoting expanded diversity in the brewing industry.
