Doug Best joins Marketing Dept as full-time Graphic Designer

During Fall Semester 2023, the Cincinnati State Marketing Department welcomed Doug Best to the team as the department’s full-time Graphic Designer.

Doug was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in Northern Kentucky (where he now lives). He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, and then worked for several advertising and design agencies before establishing his own studio, Doug Best Design, in 1998.

Doug is father to twins Wilson and Eleanor, age 19, and he enjoys motorcycles and playing guitar.

Since joining the Marketing Department, Doug has been working on several projects. One of his primary tasks is a “comprehensive brand refresh” for the College, and he is also designing a new edition of the College viewbook.

“The College logo will stay the same after the brand refresh is completed,” Doug said.

Doug has worked on a few smaller College projects also, such as designing a custom coaster for the Brewing Science program.

“The Marketing Department is here to meet the needs–great and small–of all our faculty and staff, but please recognize that we are a 3-person team, so we might not be able to meet all expectations immediately,” Doug said.
