College closed for Winter Break Dec. 23-Jan. 1 (limited College access, garage closure, & no Daily News till January)

Dec 22, 2023

All Cincinnati State campuses (in-person and remote activities) are closed for Winter Break from end-of-day on Friday, December 22, 2023, through Monday, January 1, 2024.

  • College offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
  • Spring Semester classes will begin Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
  • Faculty or staff members who have received written permission from VP of Administration Steve Morris may access Clifton Campus during the closed Winter Break days.
    • Those with permission to enter campus must call Campus Police at (513) 569-1558 and request an officer to meet you at the Main Building Dock entrance. The police officer on duty needs to know who is in the building and their location in case of an emergency.
    • The Central Parkway Garage will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 26, to Friday, Dec. 29 so mesh panels can be installed as part of the campus Exterior Improvements & Wayfinding Project.
    • On Wednesday, Dec. 27, and Thursday, Dec. 28, access to the Clifton Campus Main Building will be limited due to a delivery of rooftop equipment via a large crane.
      • If you received permission to enter Clifton Campus on either of those days, you also received information about the alternative entrance you should use.
  • Harrison, Middletown, and Evendale (WDC) Campuses will be closed for the entire break with no access available.

The next “new issue” of Daily News is scheduled for Jan. 2, unless urgent College announcements require a special issue.

  • If you have a message that needs to be shared via Daily News when the College re-opens in January— including updates to hours of operation on Jan. 2-12 for campus offices/services– please send information to the Daily News mailbox (cstatedailynews@cincinnatistate.edu) no later than Friday, Dec. 29.
  • We will monitor our messages during the Winter Break, but if you provide items on Jan. 1 or 2, we can’t promise they will be published immediately. The Daily News staff thanks you for your consideration.

Daily News wishes to students, employees, and friends of Cincinnati State a safe and happy holiday season, and a productive new year!
