National Transfer Student Week celebration starts Oct. 16
Cincinnati State will celebrate National Transfer Student Week starting Monday, October 16, and all students and employees are invited to enjoy food, fun, prizes, and (for students considering transfer) extended visits with some of CState’s 4-year institution partners.
Activities for students include daily prize drawings, give-aways of swag from Cincinnati State and partner institutions, and opportunities to meet with staff from partner colleges and universities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
Students can stop by the Transfer Center (ATLC 2nd floor) to pick up a button, enjoy treats, and learn more about many transfer options available for those who want to continue their education after CState.
Students who use Transfer Center services on Monday through Thursday are eligible for a prize drawing each day.
The student grand prize drawing on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. features a “gift basket” worth $50 or more, with items from Miami, Mt. St. Joe, Northern Kentucky, UC, Xavier, WGU Ohio, and other schools.
Key partner schools will be featured throughout the week:
- Monday, Oct. 16 – University of Cincinnati
- Tuesday, Oct. 17 – Northern Kentucky University
- Wednesday, Oct. 18 – Miami University
- Thursday, Oct. 19 – Mt. St. Joseph University
Faculty and staff members can support National Transfer Student Week in several ways:
- Wear spiritwear from your alma mater throughout the week
- Take a photo of yourself in your spiritwear and send it to Brittany King (brittany.king@cincinnatistate.edu) for use in College social media
- On Thursday at 4 p.m., faculty and staff who shared their photos will be entered into a drawing for a gift card
Students and employees don’t have to be present at the time of a drawing to be a prize winner.
