Please report phishing expeditions (& help reduce fraudulent email messages)

Cincinnati State students and employees have a new way to report “phishing” email messages.
Phishing (pronounced “fishing”) refers to messages that attempt to steal your identity or your money by getting you to reveal personal information (such as credit card numbers, bank information, or passwords) in response to email that pretends to be legitimate communication from reputable organizations or from people you know.
The new process will notify Microsoft directly as well as the College’s Information Technology Services staff. Please use the new process whenever you suspect an email you receive is phishing or fraudulent.
If you have questions about how to report fraudulent email messages, contact the ITS Help Desk (itshelpdesk@cincinnatistate.edu).
