CState helped students consider education & career options at HealthFORCE event
Cincinnati State was a Supporting Sponsor of the 8th annual HealthFORCE event presented by The Health Collaborative on October 4 at the Great Wolf Lodge Event Center in Mason.
The event gave more than 1,000 students from 32 area schools a chance to connect with more than 30 employers and educators. Students learned about career opportunities and educational pathways in healthcare and the medical community.
“With an estimated 12,000 open healthcare positions in our region, this event is one of many ways we support the healthcare workforce pipeline,” said Heleena McKinney, Senior Manager, Workforce Initiatives, at The Health Collaborative. “In two hours, students could connect with employers and educators, learn about a variety of opportunities, and have fun while learning!”
Cincinnati State Admissions staff members and faculty members Kathy Grein (Nurse Aide Training), Lauren Bregel (Nursing), and Amberly Schmaltz (Nursing) provided information to visiting students about all of the College’s Health and Public Safety degree and certificate options.
