Welcome, new Visiting Instructor Jamie Nowak

Jamie Nowak has joined the Business Division as the Visiting Instructor of Dietetic Technology. This full-time faculty position for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 makes it possible for Professor Candice “CJ” Jones to complete work on their sabbatical project.

The Visiting Instructor faculty position is described in a Memorandum of Understanding agreement between the College administration and Cincinnati State AAUP.

Jamie is a graduate of the Cincinnati State Pre-Nutrition Science program and has served as an adjunct in the Dietetics Technology program since 2021. She also is a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati in the Nutrition and Dietetics program.

She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Nutrition Science in Dietetics at the University of Cincinnati, and is starting this fall in the UC doctoral program in Educational Studies, with a concentration in Instructional Design and Technology.

Jamie earned her Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN) credential in 2018. Also in 2018, she served as student grand marshal at UC’s commencement.

Jamie said she’s excited about her new role in the Dietetics program and noted that “CJ’s enthusiastic approach to life is contagious.”

Jamie also said her children (son Mark and daughter Chris) have always been her biggest supporters. “I want them to know that they are the reason I am where I am today,” Jamie said.
