(Updated) Pipe repair project affects hot water and natural gas supply in Main Building & several areas in Lot D are closed
(Updated July 12, 4 p.m.)
On Wednesday, July 12, repairs will start on pipes outside the Main Building that supply natural gas to campus labs.
- Parking in a portion of Lot D is closed on July 12 while the repair project is in process, The closed area is behind B Wing of the Main Building (the road that extends to the Health Professions Building and the roundabout).
- The timeline for completing the repairs will extend into next week. (Updates will be provided when available.)
- There will be no hot water and no natural gas for lab equipment in the Main Building until repairs are completed.
- The natural gas supply to the Main Building on Clifton Campus was shut off on July 7 because of the need for repairs.
The area where repairs will take place is outside Main Building exit door 22 (near the Surge Cupboard Food Pantry). The repair site is marked with white lines on the pavement in the photo above.
In addition, another section of Parking Lot D, near the gate, was closed on July 12 because of a sinkhole/crack that needs to be investigated. The contractor already on site for the excavation of the natural gas line is assessing the new problem also.
The ATLC and the Health Professions Building are not affected by the natural gas line project.
The Facilities Department appreciates your patience while repairs are completed.
