I-75 / I-74 Construction Update – June 23
Some daytime and overnight restrictions are scheduled this week as part of highway construction projects.
- All scheduled work is contingent upon weather.
- To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed, and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zones.

Mill Creek Expressway Project
Friday, June 23:
- Shoulder closure on I-74 West at the bridge over Mill Creek, from I-74 East to I-75 South and on the bridge over I-75, from I-74 East to I-75 North.
- Closure of the I-74 East exit ramp to northbound Beekman Street (Exit 18) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be detoured via southbound Beekman Street and Elmore Street to Colerain Avenue and northbound Beekman.
- Closure of the northbound Beekman Street at Elmore Street intersection to Colerain Avenue, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day. Traffic will be detoured via Elmore Street and Colerain Avenue.
Slide Repair Project
Friday, June 23:
- Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, a double-lane closure will be in place on I-75 South from Mitchell Avenue to just north of Ludlow Avenue until 6 a.m. Saturday. Also, the ramp from Mitchell Avenue to I-75 South will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday.
- Once the restrictions are lifted on Saturday, a permanent right lane closure on I-75 South will be in place for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to be complete by the end of September.
