Middletown Campus move is described as “next step in partnership” between CState & Miami U
The Butler County Journal-News reported on Cincinnati State’s move to the Miami University Middletown Campus, describing the new location as “the next step in the growing partnership between Miami University and Cincinnati State.”
In an article and related video coverage published June 2, the Journal-News said the new partnership between Cincinnati State and Miami is beneficial for both institutions.
President Monica Posey is quoted in the article, saying, “We are excited about our new location and the innovative approach to serving students that it will make possible.”
Provost Robbin Hoopes pointed out in the article and video that students at Cincinnati State’s new Middletown location will have access to facilities not available at the College’s former location on North Main Street in Middletown, including a library, cafeteria, and recreational facilities, as well as efficient pathways from Cincinnati State associate’s degrees to Miami University bachelor’s degree programs.
Ande Durojaiye, Vice President and Dean for the Miami Regional Campuses, said in the article, “Ideally this partnership should be sent up in a way that students who are at Cincinnati State should have a seamless path to Miami and a Miami degree.”
Cincinnati State’s move from the North Main Street location to the Miami Middletown campus is expected to be completed by the end of June.
