Medical Assistants professional group collected items for Surge Cupboard and learned from CState faculty presentations
Members of the Southwest Ohio Chapter of Medical Assistants (SWOCMA), seen above, collected donations for the Cincinnati State Surge Cupboard Food Pantry in conjunction with the group’s March 13 meeting at Cincinnati State.
The local SWOCMA chapter is part of the American Association of Medical Assistants.
Patricia Christos, chair of the Cincinnati State Medical Assistant Certificate program, said donations to the Surge Cupboard help the professional organization carry out their mission, which includes “service activities aimed toward improving the health and well-being of the community.”
Speakers at the March meeting were two Cincinnati State faculty members: Ann Gingell (Health Information Management) and Rebecca Boggs (Program Chair, Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
