WDC technician training included tours of Rhinegeist systems

Technicians who are enhancing their skills through training provided by Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Center (WDC) gained first-hand knowledge during recent tours of the Rhinegeist Brewing plant at 1910 Elm Street in Cincinnati.
- On March 8, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician (MMT) class took a deep dive into the sophisticated systems and maintenance requirements for producing beer, during a tour led by Rhinegeist Senior Engineer Michael Nemier.
- On March 10, Nemier led another plant tour for students in the Industrial Controls and Instrumentation (ICIC) class.
Students said the tours were a “fantastic” learning experience.
The two WDC classes include employees from White Castle and WestRock (MMT class) and from Pilot Chemical, Sewer District 1 in Northern Kentucky, and Shepherd Chemical (ICIC class).
