Elevator availability on campus has ups & downs

The Facilities Department wants you to know they feel your frustrations concerning elevators that aren’t in working order on Clifton Campus.

Facilities has been in near-daily communication with the College’s service provider, Oracle Elevator, trying to resolve a multitude of issues, including;

• ATLC double elevator, left cab – Repaired and operational as of March 13.
• ATLC single elevator (near the Welcome Center) – Rope grippers will be replaced and parts to aid in braking are on order.
• Central Parkway Garage elevator – New motor board is on order.

Additionally, the bid process is getting started for complete overhaul of the elevator inside the Library and the Gym elevator. These elevator repair/replacement projects have a total cost of approximately $175,000, and will be paid for using College deferred maintenance funds
