Work completed so far on the upgrade to the fire sprinkler system on Clifton Campus has passed inspection, and the project will move to the final phase– work on the third floor of the Main Building– on Tuesday, February 14.
Kim Vasko, Director of Buildings, Maintenance & Grounds, said she has not received any complaints about noise related to the project, but if you have questions or concerns you can reach Kim at (513) 569-1560 or kimberly.vasko@cincinnatistate.edu.
- Construction work is limited to hallways and corridors, and involves removing ceiling tiles and then working overhead.
- The project work includes intermittent hammering and drilling noise while new piping is installed, and some materials may need to be placed in hallways prior to installation.
- Efforts are being made to keep construction noise to a minimum during times classes are in session and/or when events are taking place in the Conference Center.
- Safety considerations are given highest priority throughout the project.
