Facilities Department welcomes three new employees
Three new employees have joined the Cincinnati State Facilities Department in the past few months.
Max Sturm joined the College’s Grounds Technician team in October 2022, after serving as the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Prairie Trace Golf Club in Dayton, Ohio. Max brings diverse experience in irrigation, fertilization, snow removal, and project management.
Max is a graduate of Clark State Community College. He lives in Lebanon, Ohio, with his wife and two children.
Brenda Hartle, a 2015 Cincinnati State graduate, is another new member of the Grounds department. Brenda is an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist with extensive knowledge of disease, pest, and weed control and a specialty in design. Brenda worked previously for Northern Kentucky University, Cincinnati Parks, Davey Tree, and Christ Hospital, where she won an award from the Cincinnati Horticultural Society for her summer annual flower displays.
Brenda lives in Hebron, Kentucky, with her husband Andy and 2 whippets. In her spare time, Brenda volunteers at the Boone County Arboretum, helping with seasonal displays and training interns.
Steven Mamon started in January as a second-shift Environmental Services Technician, assigned to the Health Professions Building.
Steven has nine years of environmental experience, including a specialty in floor care.
Steven and his 12-year-old son, Joshua, live in Northside.
